I feel a need to set some aims and purposes for the coming year. Because 2011 – with all the economic gloom and financial doom, and misery making media moaning – could turn out to be quite a “challenging” year (lets say, staying positive)
So here’s me lighting some wish candles of hope for the dark days ahead:
- The Tiddlywinks World Championships in January!
- See Exeter play Plymouth at St James Park.
- A Winter Weekend Break: if there are any cheapo flights going to Europe.
- Go for days out to Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Oxford – even London again (all perfectly possible if booked in advance via coach or Megabus)
- Go find Kitty Jays grave.
- Continue - and complete – the Year of Camping. If, or rather – when – i buy a new car, it will be possible to camp further afield, like The New Forest, or down in Cornwall.
- Bike riding in Haldon Forest; or along the Exe Estuary.
- Take a few risks (Hmmm. I’ll have to think about that one)
- Go and swim in the sea (now that’s gonna push some buttons)
- Get – finally – to PARIS!
I’ll stop there for now. Its best not too make the purposes too long or too far-fetched. That Winter List of November 2008 only got 5 (out of 19) of its wishes ticked off in the end.
But i reckon all of those are perfectly Hopeable. And Wishable.
Perfectly Doable. Possibly Goable.
So lets Go Do man!
